About the owner

Terry Tarantino has been the sole owner of La Dolce Vita since 1989. His exceptionally high standards are demonstrated in the quality and variety of his dishes. From an early age, Terry has always been a movie buff. One of his favorites, Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita, has inspired some of the eclectic styles seen within our restaurant. Terry also graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in Horticulture, which inspired our restaurant's eclectic Tuscan design hosting plenty of greenery. The journey to La Dolce Vita began in 1915, when Dr. Anthony Caruso arrived from Benevento, Italy to open the Italian Drug. La Dolce Vita took its place at the ground level of a century-old building. We have preserved much of the 1900s architecture and history throughout our restaurant. Enjoy our fine wine selections accompanied with seasonal local produce, fish, and meat from some of the best purveyors in Ohio, along with imported olive oils and pasta from throughout the Mediterranean!
